Job Description Title: EHS Manager Comp: $125,000-$135,000 + up to 15% bonus Location: Lancaster, OH Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for an EHS Manager direct hire position in the Lancaster, OH area. Responsibilities: Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety functions for a manufacturing facility in a hands-on leadership capacity Develop, implement, and maintain all safety, health, ergonomic, and environmental programs and systems Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO14001, and all applicable environmental and safety regulations Partner with plant leadership to drive safety culture, continuous improvement, and operational compliance initiatives Conduct and oversee incident investigations, corrective actions, workers' compensation cases, and return-to-work programs Manage audits, environmental permits, certifications, regulatory reporting, and external agency relationships Maintain strong floor presence with authority to stop unsafe work or behaviors when necessary Support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and ergonomic improvements Collaborate with production, maintenance, HR, and leadership teams to drive accountability and safety performance Manage safety documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking Support training initiatives and reinforce safety standards across all levels of the organization Required Skills (Must Have): Prior leadership experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment Hands-on leadership style with daily presence on the plant floor Strong knowledge of OSHA compliance and environmental regulations Experience managing safety programs, investigations, corrective actions, and compliance systems Experience in automotive or similar industrial manufacturing environments Knowledge of ISO14001 environmental management systems Strong communication and leadership skills Experience managing workers' compensation and return-to-work programs Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in EHS, Environmental Science, or related field Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Magna or Tier 1 automotive supplier experience Experience leading ergonomic initiatives Exposure to 5S or lean manufacturing environments Experience managing environmental permits, emissions, and waste programs Multi-site or corporate EHS exposure Strong budgeting and cost analysis experience Experience working directly with regulatory agencies and audits
