Operating Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, this position provides a predictable schedule while contributing to improving the lives of our senior population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of residents' physical capabilities, analyzing their mobility, strength, and functional limitations to identify their rehabilitation needs.
  • Design and implement customized treatment plans that address specific rehabilitation goals, focusing on pain management, mobility enhancements, and fall prevention strategies.
  • Administer a range of therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance exercises.
  • Evaluate and recommend assistive devices and mobility aids to promote and enhance residents’ day-to-day functioning and independence.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration by communicating treatment plans and progress with nursing and caregiving staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Educate residents and their families about at-home exercise regimens, effective mobility techniques, and necessary safety precautions.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation as per skilled nursing facility regulations, ensuring all resident records are precise and up to date.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on senior residents who may be recovering from surgeries, managing chronic illnesses, or overcoming mobility challenges. You will develop an understanding of the unique needs of this demographic, ensuring that your physical therapy practices honor their dignity while enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Must possess an active and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, particularly in a Skilled Nursing Facility or a geriatric rehabilitation environment is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with long-term care regulations and standards, particularly as they pertain to rehabilitative care for older adults.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance to support your well-being.
  • A generous paid time-off plan, including personal and vacation days, as well as paid holidays.
  • A 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions for your future financial security.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development to enhance your skills and career trajectory.
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment that values your input and encourages innovation.
