Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Physio Recovery Center, an established orthopedic outpatient practice located in the heart of New York City. In this full-time role, you will be entrusted with the significant responsibility of guiding patients on their journey to regain movement and enhance their overall functionality. Your position will be pivotal in maximizing the quality of life for our clients through a comprehensive approach that includes promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

We focus primarily on orthopedic rehabilitation, offering state-of-the-art treatment options within our expansive 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility. Our dedicated team consists of two experienced physical therapists and a certified physical therapist assistant (PTA), all committed to excellence and patient satisfaction.

Work Environment

The position is onsite at our modern outpatient office in New York City, where you will engage with patients in a dynamic clinical setting. The clinic is equipped with the latest technology and rehabilitation tools to aid in patient recovery, ensuring that you provide the highest level of service. The standard work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess the individual needs and goals of patients, crafting tailored treatment plans that leverage a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Deliver care to 2-3 patients per hour, utilizing your knowledge of manual therapy and exercise prescriptions to improve motion and mobility.
• Develop innovative fitness and wellness programs tailored to each patient’s specific conditions and objectives, fostering long-term health and independence.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring that all care services provided are accurately recorded in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, such as WebPT.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment.
• Encourage patients throughout their treatment journey, instilling motivation and confidence in their rehabilitation efforts.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, actively contributing to their overall well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, implementing interventions aimed at improving their recovery outcomes. You will work with individuals recovering from various musculoskeletal injuries or surgeries, such as joint replacements, fractures, or sports-related injuries. Engaging with patients from diverse backgrounds in New York City, you will have the opportunity to influence their recovery paths and enhance their quality of life significantly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Physical Therapist license in New York state, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a keen understanding of therapeutic exercises.
• Experience using EMR software systems, particularly WebPT, to manage patient information and streamline workflow.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Solid foundation in patient rehabilitation and physical therapy best practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
