Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for its PCI Columbus 582 operations based in Dublin, OH. This individual will be responsible for the following duties: 

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Prepare RFI’s and submittals
• Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
• Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
• Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
• Assist in other duties as assigned

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have at least 4-7 years’ experience managing construction projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.).
• Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they’re learned.
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently. 
• Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative.
• Works well under pressure and deadlines.
• Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline.
• Experience with metal stud framing and drywall, acoustical ceilings, exterior systems and cladding preferred.
• Experience managing specialty scopes of construction.
• OSHA certification.
