Job description

Southwest Concrete Paving is an established concrete paving company specializing in military airfield, FAA, and department of transportation work across the western United States. POSITION SCOPE

Southwest Concrete Paving is looking for energetic, career-oriented team members to help integrate, grow, and establish a high-quality support staff for our field team. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting other departments including Transportation, Payroll, HR, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Some of the information processed will be confidential. This role requires the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties
  • Type memos and letters and prepare excel spreadsheets for other departments when requested
  • Assist with HR and Onboarding functions including military base access requirements
  • Maintain accurate equipment files and folders
  • Help with weekly timecard coordination and entry
  • Submit weekly, quarterly, and annual transportation reports
  • Support administrative functions such as copying, scanning, and printing
  • Demonstrate proper office etiquette and a high level of professionalism.
  • Other duties as assigned

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 1 year office, secretarial, or clerical experience
  • Knowledge of office and business routines
  • Computer experience necessary with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment operation
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) Preferred
  • Working knowledge of Accounting Principles Preferred
