Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team at Patient Support Psychotherapy. This full-time role offers the unique opportunity to provide remote therapy services within a supportive community health clinic setting in Corpus Christi, Texas. Work Environment

This position is designed to be remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our team operates in a supportive and cooperative atmosphere, fostering continuous learning and development. You will work closely with fellow mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and other clinicians, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients.
• Collaborate with clients to create customized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, preferences, and goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure integrated care, advocating for clients’ mental health needs.
• Stay informed of the latest research and treatment advancements in the field of mood disorders to continually enhance therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain confidential and thorough documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical requirements.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
• Provide advocacy for mental health awareness and support to clients facing stigma or barriers to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. In addition, our clinic serves various vulnerable populations, including those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. This role is crucial in facilitating their journeys to recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications

• A current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is a mandatory requirement.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with clients through strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exhibit empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude to foster a supportive therapeutic environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential for managing a diverse client caseload and maintaining accurate records.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working directly with clients dealing with mood disorders or in similar therapeutic settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with integrated care models and collaboration with mental health professionals is advantageous.
• Previous experience with crisis intervention and advocacy for marginalized populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• The compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience.
