About the OrganizationAt Patient First Counseling Center, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality outpatient mental health care in El Paso, Texas. Our focus is on providing comprehensive treatment for various mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. We are committed to using evidence-based practices that ensure our clients receive the best possible therapeutic outcomes. By fostering a collaborative environment, we work together to shape mental wellness and healthy coping strategies for our community.
Work EnvironmentThis position offers a remote work environment, allowing our licensed therapists to balance their professional responsibilities with personal commitments. Our work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet patients' needs effectively. Though remote, you will remain integrated into a supportive multidisciplinary team through regular video conferences, team meetings, and collaborative case discussions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to ascertain the underlying issues and develop tailored treatment plans for each patient.
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities, like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver effective individual, couples, and family therapy sessions.
- Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups, allowing individuals to share experiences and provide mutual encouragement in addressing mental health challenges.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, optimizing treatment outcomes.
- Manage crisis intervention scenarios with professionalism and sensitivity, providing immediate support during instances of mental health emergencies.
- Educate patients on their mental health conditions, therapeutic options available, and community resources that can aid in their recovery process.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training sessions to remain informed about new research and best practices in mental health therapy.
Our therapists interact with a diverse range of patients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. We are particularly committed to promoting inclusivity and multicultural understanding within our practice. As a therapist, you will engage with clients from different backgrounds, ensuring that care is respectful and tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications- A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
- A strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based practices, and therapeutic methodologies relevant to our clientele.
- Proven experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and creating effective and individualized treatment plans.
- Experience providing both individual and group therapy within diverse populations and settings.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of ethical practices and standards within mental health care, along with sound clinical judgment.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation.
- Experience in outpatient mental health settings and familiarity with telehealth platforms is a plus.
- Background in crisis intervention and support is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience facilitating group therapy sessions or support groups will be valued.
The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
