Business Tax Senior Manager / Director

Public Accounting Firm
Fargo, ND

Salary Range:
$150,000 – $200,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

This role is ideal for a tax professional looking to deepen client relationships, mentor teams, and play a meaningful role in shaping both client outcomes and firm success.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review complex business tax returns across multiple entity types

  • Perform initial and final reviews of tax engagements to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Lead and support year-end and ongoing tax planning initiatives

  • Conduct advanced tax research and provide technical guidance on complex matters

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and actively foster long-term client relationships

  • Support overall client service delivery and collaborate across service lines as needed


Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

  • Active CPA license required

  • 5–10+ years of public accounting experience in tax

  • Experience serving clients in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, construction, commercial enterprises, or real estate preferred

  • Strong technical tax knowledge with the ability to apply concepts to varied client situations

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to firm values and professional integrity

  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with a collaborative leadership approach

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
