    Senior Accountant

    Location: St. Paul, MN
    Employment Type: Full-Time
    Compensation: $90K-$110K

    About the Opportunity

    Pathway Talent Partners is partnering with a well-established manufacturing client to identify a Senior Accountant. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting month-end close, depositing checks and managing cash application. This position offers an opportunity to create and drive processes, while receiving guidance and support.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
    • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accurate records
    • Reconcile inventory twice monthly and investigate variances
    • Manage accounts payable for multiple companies
    • Process bi-weekly payroll and record payroll journal entries
    • Generate and distribute project invoices
    • Create and submit purchase orders with the Operations Manager
    • Register for sales tax and file monthly, quarterly, and annual returns
    • Process and reconcile company credit card transactions
    • Deposit checks and apply cash to outstanding receivables
    • Support the Controller and assist with special projects as needed
    Qualifications
    • Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field
    • 5+ years accounting experience
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little direction, as well as being comfortable in a team-oriented environment
    • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize/organize daily workload
    • Exposure to process improvement ideas in an accounting setting is highly desired
