Great opportunity for a hands-on financial leader who enjoys partnering with executive management, driving process improvements, and contributing to the continued success of a stable, growing organization. The ideal candidate is technically strong and comfortable working in an environment where leadership is actively involved in day-to-day operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Direct all accounting activities, including monthly and annual close processes.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, profitability analyses, and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting through detailed analysis and review.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and administrative procedures.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, banking relationships, and borrowing base reporting.
  • Coordinate external audits and support compliance with accounting and tax requirements.
  • Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and control processes.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
  • Review customer and vendor credit arrangements and related financial agreements.
  • Manage sales tax compliance and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
  • Prior experience as a Controller or in a similar leadership role.
  • Background in distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or another inventory-intensive environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP platform.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a hands-on leadership environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organization where employees tend to stay for many years and where the Controller plays a visible role in the success of the business. Competitive compensation, outstanding benefits, and bonus potential are offered.
