Multimodality Technologist

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lakeway

We’re offering a $15,000 Sign On bonus & Relocation assistance to Multimodality Tech Professionals

Must be willing to cross train into Cath and IR or at least one Credential: The multimodality position is geared towards individuals with additional certifications.

Examples: ARRT (R) or RCIS with additional certification for example CI or VI or CT or MRI or Mammo or both RCIS and ARRT together, RCES is an additional certification. However, can be changed to an Interventional radiology tech or CVIS tech.

Education: Associate's degree in Radiology + ARRT or graduate of an related program

Work Schedule: This is a full-time day shift position, Monday-Friday, 4 days/week 7am-5:30pm 4 -10 Hour Day Shifts.

Little to No Weekend Call: 7-9 days of call every 4 weeks for Emergent Procedures after hours. Call response time to the facility is within 30 minutes of notification. Very little call on the weekend since they have a weekend tech that takes call. They however take 1 weekend a month off.

Lakeway is located about 25 miles west of downtown Austin. Lakeway is ideally situated on the south shore of Lake Travis in the scenic Texas Hill Country. Lakeway is a resort community complete with golf courses, tennis courts, marinas, a 65-mile long lake, 100 acres of parkland and trails, and nearly 500 acres of greenbelts. You can enjoy dining at the famous The Oasis on Lake Travis while enjoying the gorgeous views of the Rolling Hills and the abundance of sailboats floating on the Lake.

Baylor Scott & White Health Lakeway is a 121 bed, Full-Service hospital. The Medical Center is a certified primary stroke center, a certified chest pain center. Lakeway has achieved Magnet recognition for its nursing professionalism, teamwork and superiority in patient care.

Job Summary: The Multimodality Technologist, supervised by a Radiologist, performs imaging in two or more disciplines. At least 25% of their work focuses on advanced areas like CT, MR, Nuc Med, or IR. They work with ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or licensed provider for diagnosing disease and injury, following established protocols.

Qualifications:

Education - Grad of an Accredited Program

Experience - Less than 1 Year of Experience

Certification/License/Registration

Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT): Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), unless the role is MRI or Ultrasound.

American Reg MRI Tech (ARMRIT), ARRT-Bone Density (ARRT-BD), ARRT-BS Breast Sonography (ARRT-BS), ARRT-CT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT), ARRT-M Mammography (ARRT-M), ARRT-MR Magnetic Res Imaging (ARRT-MR), ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT-N), ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R), ARRT-S Sonography (ARRT-S), ARRT-VI Interventional Rad (ARRT-VI), Cert Nuclear Med Tech (CNMT), Reg Diag Med Sono-Abdomen (AB) (RDMS-AB), Reg Diag Med Sono-Breast (BR) (RDMS-BR), RDMS Fetal Echocardiography (RDMS-FE), RDMS-Pediatric Sonography (PS) (RDMS-PS), Registered Vascular Tech (RVT): Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography in two imaging modalities. Works 50% of the time in the second modality. Approved modalities are: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, ARRT-CV, ARRT-M, ARRT-MR, ARRT-N, ARRT-S, ARRT-VI, ARRT-BS, ARRT-BD, ARRT-CI, RDMS-AB, RDMS-BR, RDMS-FE, RDMS-OB, RDMS-PS, RVT, CNMT, or ARMRIT.
