Bar Rotunda, will serve as an all-day cafe and wine bar, with coffees, pastries, small plates, wine and cocktails offered at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Canopied by The Rotunda, Book Tower's marble arched atrium and 100-year-old Kamper-glass skylight, the design and service are inspired by the grand cafés and venerable hotel bars of early twentieth-century Paris

Position Overview
The Barista plays a key role in creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable guest experience. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and tea beverages with consistency and care, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering friendly, attentive service. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, enjoys engaging with guests, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency

• Greet guests warmly, take orders, and provide knowledgeable recommendations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked barista station throughout service

• Follow all recipes, portion standards, and quality guidelines

• Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and POS systems

• Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory as needed

• Support café or lobby operations by assisting with light food prep, restocking, and general upkeep

• Uphold sanitation and safety standards in accordance with company and health department guidelines

• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

• 1+ year of barista or café experience preferred, but not required
• Some experience bartending preferred but not required

• Strong communication and guest-service skills

• Ability to multitask and stay composed during busy periods

• Familiarity with espresso equipment and basic coffee knowledge

• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
