Position Overview

Paragon Behavioral Health Center is seeking dedicated mental health counselors to join our dynamic outpatient team as full-time mental health therapists. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while still being part of a structured outpatient office. Our team operates Monday through Friday, with scheduled hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, accommodating patient needs with some flexibility as necessary. This setup enables therapists to work efficiently while maintaining direct access to administrative supports and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand patients' psychological needs and formulate tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, in both individual and group sessions.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups to create a community atmosphere that helps promote shared learning and healing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and manage emergency situations effectively, offering immediate support to patients in critical need.
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions and treatment options, helping them navigate available community resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and actively participate in case consultations and team collaboration meetings.
• Stay informed about current best practices and advancements in mental health therapy to continually enhance your skills and treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population is diverse, including individuals of varying backgrounds, lifestyles, and age groups dealing with a wide array of mental health conditions. As a mental health counselor at Paragon Behavioral Health Center, you will engage with clients at different stages of their recovery journeys, tailoring your approach to their unique situations and goals.

Qualifications

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in Maryland.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Experience delivering both individual and group therapy to a diverse clientele.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and relevant computer applications.
• Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and boundaries.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in conducting mental health assessments and developing treatment plans.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and emergency protocols in mental health settings.
• A background in working with specific populations (e.g., children, adolescents, or the elderly) is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Paragon Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
