Make an Impact in Vascular Access CareJoin the team at FKP Brandon Surgery Center, a specialized outpatient surgery center focused on providing high-quality vascular access care for patients who rely on dialysis.
As a Radiologic Technologist, you’ll play an important role in the care team—operating fluoroscopy equipment, supporting interventional vascular access procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and helping ensure every patient receives safe, efficient, compassionate care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Rad Tech who enjoys hands-on procedural work, scrubbing into cases, sterile technique, and patient interaction. Experience working as a Surgical Scrub Technician and/or in Sterile Processing (SPD) is highly valued and would be especially beneficial in this role.
What You’ll DoPrepare patients and procedure rooms for vascular access procedures and assist with post-procedure recovery and room turnover.
Operate the C-Arm/fluoroscopy equipment during interventional procedures.
Scrub in and assist with procedures including angiograms, angioplasty, thrombectomy, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis catheter placement, vein mapping, and accessory vein ligation.
Maintain a sterile field throughout procedures and immediately communicate any breaks in sterile technique that could affect patient safety.
Assist the clinical team with positioning, patient preparation, transportation, and overall procedural support.
Perform required counts of needles, sponges, and instruments.
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and maintain procedure rooms according to established standards.
Track medications, supplies, and equipment used during procedures.
Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available in the procedure room and throughout the center.
Follow radiation safety protocols and serve as the center’s Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
Assist with scheduling vascular access procedures and supporting the efficient daily operation of the center.
Provide exceptional patient service using AIDET and Panoramic Health Standards of Behavior.
Participate in community education and outreach activities related to vascular access.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the center and patient care team.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in Science or successful completion of a formal radiologic technology program accepted by ARRT.
ARRT certification required.
CV-IR certification preferred.
State license and/or fluoroscopy permit required if applicable under state law.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in general diagnostic radiology, special procedures, cardiac catheterization, or a related procedural environment.
Previous experience performing surgical scrub responsibilities is highly preferred.
Sterile Processing Department (SPD) experience is highly preferred, particularly experience with cleaning, assembling, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments.
Demonstrated knowledge and strong understanding of sterile technique.
Comfortable scrubbing into procedures and working within a fast-paced interventional environment.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to patient safety.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
At FKP Brandon Surgery Center, you’ll be part of a specialized team focused on helping dialysis patients receive the vascular access care they need. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals in a collaborative procedural environment while developing valuable expertise in vascular access and interventional procedures.
If you’re an experienced Radiologic Technologist who enjoys being hands-on in the procedure room, we’d love to hear from you!
