Because, to us, packaging is about much more than a box, it’s about delivering what’s right, for our customers, for their customers and our planet.About the roleAs a Manufacturing Engineer at Packsize, you play a key role in strengthening our manufacturing capabilities and supporting the industrialization of innovative, customer-driven packaging solutions. You will work at the intersection of product development, manufacturing, and supply chain, ensuring new and existing products are designed and produced efficiently, cost-effectively, and at the highest quality standards.You will lead and support industrialization, improvement, and investment projects while continuously optimizing manufacturing and assembly processes in a highly technical, multidisciplinary environment.What you’ll doLead and execute industrialization, improvement, and investment projects for new and existing productsAnalyze and influence product designs early in the development process to ensure manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost targetsDesign, implement, and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes using Lean and Six Sigma principlesSupport the transition from product development to manufacturing, including prototype builds and process validationDrive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutionsInitiate and manage engineering changes (ECNs/CNs), assessing their impact on manufacturing, cost, quality, and lifecycle performanceCollaborate closely with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and external suppliersMonitor and report on project progress, milestones, and resultsStay current with trends and developments in manufacturing technologies and production methods, sharing insights with stakeholdersWhat you’ll bringBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldFluent in English (written and spoken)Several years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, industrialization, or process engineeringStrong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, preferably in a high-mix or engineered-to-order environmentProven experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt required)Ability to influence product and process design decisions through technical expertiseStrong project management skills and experience working in cross-functional teamsAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skillsClear and convincing communication skills in a multidisciplinary environmentWhat’s nice to haveExperience in capital investment projects and production line designExposure to full product lifecycle management, from concept to end-of-lifeExperience with SAP and manufacturing-related IT systemsSix Sigma Black Belt training or certificationAbility to speak Dutch and FrisianWhat We OfferThe salary range for this role is $88,637- $108,600 however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role bein offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.If this role excites you but you don’t meet each requirement listed, we encourage you to apply anyway.
