Work Environment

The position is primarily remote, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. However, you will also have opportunities to engage in face-to-face interactions at our outpatient office located in the scenic Malibu, California. With a structured work schedule of Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will enjoy a stable routine while contributing to meaningful client outcomes in a serene environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality counseling services, including individual therapy, family therapy, and group counseling tailored to meet the specific needs of clients across various backgrounds and diagnoses.
• Conduct detailed clinical assessments to understand client needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans that guide their therapeutic journey.
• Maintain thorough documentation of clinical interactions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical standards and California state regulations.
• Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team that includes case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care and assess the effectiveness of treatment plans.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through regular supervision, training sessions, and participation in team meetings to enhance your clinical skills and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with an incredibly diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and LGBTQIA+ individuals, as well as those who have experienced trauma. Our commitment to culturally competent care means understanding the unique challenges and strengths of each client group, tailoring your approach to their individual circumstances.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license in the State of California, with registration through the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) is required.
• A Master's degree in Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, demonstrating competence in a counseling or therapeutic setting.
• You should have proficiency in evidence-based treatment methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), or trauma-informed care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working directly with the target populations mentioned, particularly with clients dealing with trauma and their aftermath.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for managing client documentation efficiently.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills that enable you to balance a full caseload while adhering to timelines and quality care standards.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers competitive annual compensation ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, complemented by a robust benefits package. Our offerings include:
