Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team at PROMIS Neurodevelopmental. This full-time, remote position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the mental well-being of our clients by providing high-quality therapeutic care through virtual platforms and in-person outpatient settings.

About the Organization

PROMIS Neurodevelopmental is committed to delivering world-class mental health services tailored to individuals and families in need. Based in Huntington Beach, California, our organization prioritizes building long-lasting therapeutic relationships through intentional, detail-oriented care. Our approach integrates evidence-based practices to ensure individuals receive the support and guidance they require on their journey to mental wellness.

Work Environment

This role will primarily operate in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining high standards of client care. While much of the work will be conducted virtually, our outpatient office serves as a hub for collaboration and occasional face-to-face interactions with team members and clients. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, fostering an environment that encourages professional growth, shared insights, and teamwork to enhance client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate clients' psychological, emotional, and relational needs, subsequently designing individualized treatment plans that address those needs.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing established therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), adjusting strategies to fit the unique circumstances of each client.
  • Provide specialized support for clients experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), crafting a healing environment that promotes recovery and resilience.
  • Effectively manage client cases, ensuring coordinated care by liaising with additional healthcare professionals and resources as necessary for comprehensive treatment.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress in accordance with ICD-9 standards, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other therapists, to enhance the overall quality of care delivered to clients.
  • Engage in child-family counseling sessions, addressing family dynamics that impact mental health, and offering strategies to strengthen familial relationships.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, couples, and families, each facing various challenges related to mental health and relational issues. You will be instrumental in fostering resilience, empowerment, and effective communication skills among family members, helping to mend and strengthen crucial relationships.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field is mandatory, while a Master's degree or doctorate is strongly preferred.
  • Must hold a current and unrestricted California license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, with demonstrable proficiency in working with children, couples, and families.
Preferred Experience
  • One year or more of specialized experience in dealing with mental health disorders, relationship issues, or family dynamics.
  • Adeptness in crisis intervention strategies, with the ability to maintain composure and strategic thinking in high-pressure environments.
  • Familiarity with ethical guidelines governing therapeutic practices, confidentiality issues, and HIPAA regulations.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance to support your well-being.
  • 401(k) plan with matching contributions to help secure your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off and holiday pay to promote work-life balance.
  • Continuing medical education reimbursement to ensure your professional development.
  • Licensure and subscription reimbursements, along with malpractice insurance coverage.
