Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage day-to-day payroll activities and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. This position will be responsible for payroll processing, compliance, recordkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and resolving payroll-related issues.


Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule, including wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and other compensation.
  • Review employee timekeeping and payroll information for accuracy prior to processing.
  • Maintain strong payroll controls and follow established payroll procedures and approval processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, tax, and labor regulations.
  • Process payroll deductions, garnishments, benefits deductions, tax withholdings, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation.
  • Assist with payroll tax filings, quarterly and year-end reporting, W-2s, and other required documentation.
  • Respond to employee questions and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with HR, Accounting, and Finance regarding employee changes, payroll reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external payroll audits and provide requested documentation.
  • Help maintain and improve payroll systems, procedures, controls, and overall payroll efficiency.


Qualifications

  • Previous payroll administration or payroll processing experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, procedures, and applicable wage and tax regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience working with payroll and timekeeping systems.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard business software.
  • Ability to work independently, meet payroll deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
