As a Security Officer Patrol Presence in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a busy retail location, where you will patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols within a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate communication channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor the location for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and maintenance or hazard-related concerns, and document observations through required reports and daily activity logs.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, crowd management, and directional support during high-traffic periods, special events, and/or evacuations as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
