Job description

This position is for the full academic year, open only to enrolled upperclassmen. Freshmen are not eligible to apply for this position.
Purpose of the position: Assist the Director of Intramural Athletics
Expected hours of work per week: 10-20
Work Location & Hours: Ashe Gym and Shadowlands field; Times vary
Qualifications for Position:
    1. Previous participation in intramural athletics preferred
    2. Able to work without direct supervision
    3. Knowledge of gym and equipment
    4. Accuracy and attention to detail very important
    5. Must be a Covenant College Student.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate all intramural events, games, and tournaments, both on campus and externally against other colleges
  2. Organize, coordinate, schedule, and maintain an active, functioning intramural office
  3. Schedule intramural games, tournaments, and events
  4. Train, schedule, and supervise referees for all intramural contests
  5. Maintain and care for all intramural equipment
  6. Other projects as assigned by supervisor
  7. Night work (Monday through Thursday) is required (7pm-10pm)

  • Career & Self-Development including game management and critical thinking.
  • Communication in the form of verbally and over emails.
  • Critical Thinking in the form of game changes and when a disagreement arises at games.
  • Global Literacy displayed by communicating and interacting with other students.
  • Leadership through Christ like character
  • Professionalism by officiating and controlling the game and talking to teams
  • Teamwork including working with other intramural workers and teams.
  • Technology knowledge of IMleague website and app.
