We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at OrthoSport PT in San Diego, California. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to interpret examination findings, identify dysfunctions, and create tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
• Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and exercise programs, applying a range of modalities and physical agents to enhance patient recovery.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of evaluation assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with state and federal requirements.
• Regularly assess and adjust treatment protocols based on patient progress, ensuring alignment with established recovery goals.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and participate in discharge planning, ensuring seamless transitions for patients.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families, empowering them to actively participate in their rehabilitation process and long-term wellness.
• Engage in departmental quality initiatives and compliance activities to uphold service excellence and regulatory standards.
• Actively participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings to contribute to team success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at OrthoSport PT, your primary focus will be serving patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and age-related musculoskeletal issues. You will work with diverse age groups and will employ a holistic approach to care, integrating patient feedback and ongoing assessments into treatment strategies to promote optimal healing outcomes.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in California, required upon hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Master’s or Doctorate is a plus.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) number required at hire.
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and modalities.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration.
• Ability to administer physical therapy treatments safely and effectively.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for patient documentation.
• Proven ability to work independently while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
