Job Description

  • Manage commercial real estate transactions from initial opening through closing and post-closing.
  • Prepare and maintain deal files, transaction checklists, closing documents, and related records.
  • Draft and revise transaction documents, correspondence, and organizational documents.
  • Coordinate and review due diligence materials, including title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and related documentation.
  • Prepare signature packages, closing binders, and post-closing deliverables.
  • Coordinate with clients, attorneys, title companies, lenders, and other transaction professionals.
  • Prepare closing statements and assist with escrow-style closings.
  • Maintain accurate time entries and transaction records.
  • Track multiple transactions, deadlines, and deliverables to keep deals moving efficiently.
  • Travel locally as needed for client meetings and closings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
  • 5+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Experience with commercial real estate transactions, title and survey review, due diligence, entity formation, and closing coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Kofax.
  • Strong organization, communication, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain one is preferred.
  • Experience obtaining EINs and preparing related IRS forms is a plus.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends when transaction needs require it.
