Description:

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing customer relationships, processing orders, preparing quotations, and supporting the outside sales team. This role serves as a key link between customers, production, supply chain, and finance to ensure timely and accurate execution from quote through delivery in a manufacturing environment.


This role is primarily onsite and will require working onsite four (4) days per week, with the opportunity to work one (1) day remotely/hybrid after the initial training and onboarding period has been successfully completed.


Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or order management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar) and CRM tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office tools (Excel, word, PowerPoint, etc..)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Preferred

  • Experience supporting B2B customers in a technical or engineered product environment
  • Understanding of manufacturing lead times, production constraints, and supply chain dynamics
  • Ability to read basic product specifications or technical drawings

Requirements:

Sales & Customer Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, pricing, and lead times
  • Convert quotes into sales orders and ensure accurate order entry
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to product specifications, availability, pricing, and delivery
  • Support outside sales representatives with account management and opportunity tracking

Order Management & Execution

  • Manage orders from receipt through fulfillment, including order entry, changes and expediting as needed
  • Coordinate with production planning, supply chain, and logistics to meet customer delivery requirements
  • Communicate proactively with customers on order status, delays, or changes
  • Assist in resolving order discrepancies, returns, and claims

Commercial & Administrative Support

  • Maintain customer records, pricing files, and sales data in ERP/CRM systems
  • Ensure compliance with company pricing, margin, and approval policies
  • Support forecasting activities and provide input on demand trends
  • Assist with customer onboarding, contracts, and documentation

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with manufacturing, planning, quality, and finance teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to order flow, lead time, and customer experience
