Optomi, in partnership with a leading organization in the media and publishing industry, is looking for an IT Senior Project Manager.


Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through delivery. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to manage scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations across multiple concurrent projects. The Senior Project Manager will serve as a trusted partner to product, engineering, creative, operations, and executive stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives.

What type of experience does the right candidate have:

  • 8+ years of project management experience delivering complex IT, cross-functional projects.
  • 5+ years of project management experience specifically within title management, planning, media supply chain, and publishing workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.

What the responsibilities are of the right candidate:

  • Project Leadership & Delivery — Lead end-to-end project planning and execution for large-scale, high-visibility initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to align project objectives with business strategy.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across technology teams, publishing operations, and external partners.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Process, Governance & Risk Management — Drive adherence to project management best practices, governance standards, and delivery frameworks.
  • Continuously improve project delivery processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Ensure documentation, approvals, and change management processes are followed.
