We are on the lookout for a compassionate professional who is ready to promote well-being and improve the quality of life for our clients.

About the Organization

Optimum Care Counseling is a committed mental health provider located in Cape Coral, Florida. Our mission is to deliver tailored care and support for clients navigating the complexities of detox and recovery. We understand the importance of empathy and professionalism in our work, and we pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment for both clients and staff. Our team is composed of experienced practitioners across various disciplines who work together to create a holistic approach to recovery.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, providing flexibility for our employees to manage their work-life balance while serving clients effectively. Although the work is conducted from home, our social workers have regular access to virtual meetings, collaborative platforms, and real-time support from interdisciplinary teams. This setup allows our professionals to stay connected, share insights, and discuss client care strategies, ensuring quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments of clients in detox, evaluating emotional, mental, and social factors that impact their recovery process.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on client assessments, goals, and preferences, collaborating with clients and their support systems to ensure holistic care.
  • Provide counseling and emotional support through virtual platforms, guiding clients and their families through life transitions and the recovery process.
  • Advocate for clients' access to necessary community resources, including support groups, healthcare services, and mental health resources.
  • Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including addiction specialists, nurses, and therapists, to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
  • Monitor clients’ progress through regular virtual check-ins, updates to care plans, and engagement with families to address any emerging concerns or safety issues.
  • Educate clients and families about the detox process, available resources, and strategies for maintaining long-term recovery.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation in compliance with organizational policies and ethics, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient client management.
  • Stay informed of current trends, policies, and best practices in social work and substance use recovery to ensure the highest standard of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with clients who are undergoing detoxification from substance use disorders. This population often faces significant emotional and psychological challenges. Your expertise will be crucial in helping them navigate personal barriers to recovery, providing a supportive and understanding presence during their treatment process.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
  • At least two years of experience in social work, ideally in addiction treatment, detox, or a similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of social work methodologies, addiction-related issues, and available community resources.
  • Excellent counseling, assessment, and crisis intervention skills demonstrated through direct client interactions.
  • Capacity to build rapport, exhibit empathy, and provide non-judgmental support to clients facing various challenges.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and relevant digital communication tools for client management and documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a detox center or addiction rehabilitation environment.
  • Familiarity with virtual counseling methodologies and telehealth practices.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and their application in practice.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a robust benefits package, including:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions.
  • Generous vacation and paid time off policies.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage.
  • Financial support for continuing education and opportunities for professional development.
