Position Overview

Optimize Recovery Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health statuses through comprehensive interviews and diagnostic tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that outline specific therapeutic goals and interventions tailored to each client's needs.
• Provide ongoing individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches that focus on empowering clients to overcome obstacles and achieve their personal goals.
• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect the evolving needs of clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare providers, to coordinate comprehensive care and referrals.
• Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele suffering from various mental health disorders. Your patients may include individuals battling anxiety, depression, trauma, food-related issues, and substance use disorders. You will be instrumental in creating a supportive therapeutic alliance that fosters trust and enhances clients' willingness to engage in the therapeutic process. Your cultural competence and understanding of varied backgrounds will contribute significantly to the effectiveness of your interventions.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• A minimum of four years of clinical experience in providing mental health counseling, with a well-rounded understanding of various psychological disorders.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining client confidentiality while upholding professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated ability to utilize evidence-based therapy techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing.
• Experience in delivering culturally responsive care and tailoring treatment approaches to meet the needs of diverse populations.
• Proficient in managing crises with strong de-escalation skills, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
• Working knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
