Program Summary:
Leidos delivers advanced technical, engineering, and system administration expertise in direct support of a high-priority foreign engagement mission. This established effort leverages Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) solutions, alongside tailored engineering approaches, to enable mission-critical capabilities within a secure, high-trust environment. The program supports a complex and evolving mission where experienced cleared professionals operate side-by-side with the customer to architect, integrate, modernize, and optimize systems that directly drive operational outcomes.
Leidos is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with strong RF expertise to support the deployment, installation, integration, and sustainment of critical radio frequency (RF) communication systems. The primary focus of this role is hands-on RF system deployment and integration within secure operational environments. The selected candidate will apply systems engineering principles to both GOTS-based and mission-tailored RF solutions, contributing to system architecture, modernization initiatives, and lifecycle engineering activities across a diverse communications portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, integrate, and sustain GOTS and mission-specific RF communication systems (HF/VHF/UHF), including hardware and software RF/FORNSAT platforms.
  • Architect, configure, and optimize RF and GOTS-based solutions to meet mission and security requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex RF system issues and support modernization efforts to enhance reliability, interoperability, and mission effectiveness.
  • Provide full lifecycle systems engineering support (requirements, design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment).
  • Administer and maintain Linux and Windows Server environments, ensuring performance, high availability, and compliance.
  • Deliver virtualization support across cloud-based and on-premises infrastructures.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders and cross-functional teams to provide technical direction, security best practices, and operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of fourteen (14) years of systems engineering and/or RF engineering experience on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience deploying, installing, integrating, and sustaining RF systems, including HF, VHF, and UHF platforms, with familiarity in GOTS-based solutions.
  • Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with polygraph
