FloorManager - Hawksmoor Chicago
Chicago is the historical powerhouse of American beef,and when Hawksmoor found out about an actual powerhouse building, it felt likefate. So, after years of dreaming, we've set out eyes on coming to Chicago. Andwe've found ourselves a home.
The LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse is a beautiful,designated landmark, initially opened in 1887, in the heyday of Chicago's cablecar system. We intend to do it justice by restoring the original features totheir former glory and, at the same time, breathe new life into the space.
Reporting to the Assistant General Manager we're looking for a FloorManager to join our team!

Key responsibilities of the role include:
To be responsible for the running of the restaurant, including, but not exclusively:
- Delivering excellent teamservice & hospitality
- Oversee the training andeducation of staff on the finer points of service
- Identifies staffing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training needs of qualifiedcandidates
- Maintains proper lossprevention standards, including cash handling procedures, accurate deposits andsafe procedures in the restaurant
Ensures that all of Hawksmoor's service and hospitalitystandards are maintained and continually improving
A good understanding of:
- All products both food and beverage.
- Sanitation and safety laws
- Systems,including OpenTable, Aloha and others.
To be considered for the role you will have:
- Extensive experience runningsome of the best restaurant floors in Chicago.
- Experience launching andopening restaurants in Chicago and the US.
- Comfortable and experiencedwith high volume businesses in terms of both covers and revenue.
- Excellent floor management andsupervisory skills.
- Good under pressure.
- Ability to create an incredibleculture and work ethic within your team.
- Exemplary product knowledge offood and beverage.
- Excellent leadership skillswith ability to teach, coach and train all FOH employees.
- Experience in all Chicago Healthand Safety and Food Hygiene Practices and Standards.
