Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Telehealth Mental Health Counselor include, but are not limited to:

  • Applying various mental health therapy techniques and interventions to assist individuals and families in managing diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • Conducting thorough mental health assessments to inform treatment plans and developing initial discharge strategies for patients.
  • Facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to each patient's treatment goals.
  • Creating and revising treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Documenting all therapeutic interventions according to established facility and professional standards, maintaining accurate client records.
  • Managing an assigned caseload while ensuring compliance with clinical policies and ethical guidelines.
  • Engaging in regular treatment team meetings to coordinate care and share insights with colleagues.
  • Demonstrating a supportive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward clients at all times.
  • Addressing client concerns proactively to improve service delivery and overall satisfaction.
  • Prioritizing client safety and well-being, maintaining an environment conducive to therapeutic success.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff to support the overall objectives of the clinic.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, and adults, addressing a variety of mental health challenges. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their journeys towards improved mental well-being, overcoming stigma, and realizing their personal goals for change.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must hold:

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field.
  • A valid state or national license to practice as a professional therapy provider, specifically as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Preferred Experience

Successful candidates will have at least two years of clinical experience working with clients across the lifespan. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital therapeutic tools is a plus, as is a passion for continual professional development in the field of mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits
