Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Hematology Oncology in Coos Bay, OR
Join a dynamic team in Coos Bay, Oregon, as a Locum Oncology/Hematology provider! This position is perfect for an experienced physician looking to make a difference in patient care while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Oregon coast.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Function as an integral member of the clinical patient care team.
  • Perform tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist.
  • Provide outpatient services at a free-standing cancer center.
  • Manage a patient caseload of approximately 10-15 patients per day.
  • Participate in a call schedule of 1 in 4, including weekends.
  • Focus primarily on solid tumor diagnoses with timely referrals.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and advanced practice providers.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology - [REQUIRED]
  • Active Oregon medical license - [PREFERRED, WILLING TO ACCEPT PROVIDERS NEEDING TO OBTAIN]
  • Clean background with no malpractice history - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
  • CAQH login and password - [REQUIRED AT TIME OF OFFER]
  • Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges.
  • DEA - Verbal Confirmation required at Name Clear.
  • Self-Query NPDB (to be pulled within the month) - [REQUIRED] at the time of presentation.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Active Oregon medical license.
  • Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology.
  • DEA registration.
