Work Environment

This position is set within a flexible and remote work environment, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while still being an integral part of our collaborative mental health community. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing structure while ensuring that our therapists have adequate time for self-care and personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, enabling tailored treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with clients to establish individualized treatment goals, utilizing evidence-based practices to guide progress.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adjusted to fit the specific needs of the patient.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, fostering a deeper understanding of the conditions and encouraging proactive self-care.
• Regularly monitor client progress through consistent follow-ups and adjust treatment plans based on evolving needs.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment efforts and optimize patient care.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment methodologies, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to share best practices and enhance clinical knowledge.
• Act as an advocate for clients, promoting awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and your role will involve developing rapport and trust, ensuring that they feel safe and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Proficient in evidence-based treatment approaches pertinent to mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.
• Strong working knowledge of psychopharmacology, with the capability to effectively communicate and collaborate with medical professionals.
• Ability to demonstrate a history of successful outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with clients from a variety of backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in clinical settings focusing on mood disorders and mental health counseling.
• Work experience in community health clinics, particularly in an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for managing client documentation and treatment plans.
• Engagement in continued education and training related to emerging trends in therapy practices.
