Motor controls: Design systems to start/stop motors safely, reliably, and durably.
Documentation: Create and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams for assembly and troubleshooting.
Testing: Build rigorous validation plans that prove system reliability.
System integration: Strong understanding of integrating electrical systems into complete products.
Regulatory compliance: Experience working with UL/CSA and manufacturing teams to meet standards.
Hands-on capability: Strong mechanical intuition and practical, hands-on engineering approach.
Communication: Clear, effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
7+ years of electrical engineering experience focused on electric motors and motor controls. Air compressors or power tools experience preferred.
Experience with new product development in a manufacturing environment.
Project management and organization skills using Microsoft Office tools.
Experience with cost reduction and product improvement projects.
Experience with battery and battery charging systems preferred.
Ability to create and interpret schematic and wiring drawings.
Experience with PCB layout. EMC/EMI experience is a plus.
