Position Overview

New Pattern Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to provide vital support and therapeutic services to clients through a telehealth setting. Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining an emphasis on client-centered care. As a telehealth provider, you will utilize secure video conferencing platforms to conduct assessments and therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, documenting client histories and assessing mental, behavioral, and emotional health needs from initial consultation through to treatment completion.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that draw on evidence-based practices, focusing on individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to promote healing and recovery.
  • Continuously monitor client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate effectively with other health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure integrated care for clients.
  • Provide timely follow-up and support with medical personnel for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Identify and address any behaviors that may hinder a client’s progress toward recovery.
  • Engage with family members and primary caregivers, providing guidance on supporting their loved ones through challenging mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and face a variation of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction-related issues. As a mental health counselor, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients navigate these difficulties, employing culturally competent approaches that respect and embrace individuality, family dynamics, and community influences.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Excellent proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for managing client data and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of the effects of prescribed medications and familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, combined with outstanding interpersonal abilities to establish rapport with clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience as a mental health counselor or similar role, preferably in a telehealth context.
  • Knowledge of and experience with addiction disorders and co-occurring conditions, enhancing the counselor's efficacy in treatment.
  • Background in working with families and understanding the dynamics at play in familial mental health interventions.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
