Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Neuro Nurture Support, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individual, couples, and family therapy sessions both in person and via telehealth platforms.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Specializing in addressing a variety of family dynamics and challenges, including but not limited to:
    • Alcohol and substance abuse issues.
    • Physical and psychological abuse recovery.
    • Grief and loss counseling.
    • Conflict resolution among family members or siblings.
    • Adjustments to separation, divorce, blended families, and related transitions.
    • Addressing job stress and medical issues affecting family dynamics.
    • Enhancing communication skills within families.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care that considers both mental and physical health.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records for client progress and treatment outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of clients, including adults as well as children and adolescents, providing therapy that addresses specific developmental and emotional needs. Your approach will be tailored and responsive to individual and family circumstances, ensuring that each client feels heard, supported, and understood.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Tennessee.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
Preferred Experience

A background that includes:

  • Experience in outpatient settings and telehealth practices.
  • Clinical experience with family systems and crisis intervention.
  • Exposure to evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Flexible availability to meet client needs effectively (30 hours or more per week).
