Job description

Job Summary:
North Carolina State University is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Computer Technician to join their team. This role is primarily responsible for inspecting incoming computer equipment to determine whether units should be recycled or refurbished for resale, and assisting customers with technical issues related to refurbished systems.
Responsibilities:
• Receive and inspect incoming computer hardware.
• Evaluate condition and functionality to determine recycling or refurbishment.
• Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on refurbishable units.
• Document inspection results and maintain inventory records.
• Provide technical support to customers regarding refurbished computers.
• Collaborate with the sales and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in computer hardware support, troubleshooting, repair, IT support, or a related technical field.
Preferred:
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience with computer repair or IT support is a plus.
