Job description

Job Summary:
Cymertek Corporation is seeking a skilled and proactive Oracle DBA (Database Administrator) to manage and optimize their Oracle database systems. The role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical databases, implementing backup and recovery strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support database design and best practices.
Responsibilities:
• Install and configure Oracle databases
• Manage database backup and recovery processes
• Monitor database performance and resolve bottlenecks
• Implement and enforce database security measures
• Create and maintain database schemas and structures
• Support database migrations and upgrades
Qualifications:
Required:
• TS/SCI Full Poly (Please note this position requires full U.S. Citizenship)
• Bachelor's Degree
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
• Expertise in Oracle database tools (e.g., RMAN, OEM)
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning
• Experience with database replication technologies
• Familiarity with data backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Ability to write and debug database scripts
• Install and configure Oracle databases
• Manage database backup and recovery processes
• Monitor database performance and resolve bottlenecks
• Implement and enforce database security measures
• Create and maintain database schemas and structures
• Support database migrations and upgrades
Preferred:
• Experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard
• Knowledge of cloud database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud)
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Experience with database monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds)
