Job Description

NBCUniversal's Enterprise Product team builds products and services for organizations throughout NBCUniversal including Ad Sales, Broadcast Operations, NBC Digital, NBC News, NBC Sports, Cable Entertainment brands, and local TV stations. The team spans 6 key verticals: Content Management, Content Sales and Finance, Scheduling and Distribution, Ad Sales, Ad Technology and Integration, Data and Analytics, and Linear Distribution.

As a part of the Ad Technology and Integration team, you will support the architectural and integration strategy needed to maintain a cohesive product ecosystem across each vertical, enhance existing workflows, identify process improvements, contribute technical recommendations, and coordinate with cross-functional technical and operations teams to design, test, and launch new features and initiatives. You will also use approved AI tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, quality validation, and repeatable integration work while applying appropriate human review and data-handling practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and implementation of solutions across NBCU's advertising technology ecosystem, including gathering integration requirements and coordinating with Product Owners, Engineering, Architecture, QA, Operations, and Integration stakeholders.
  • Document and help define technical requirements for new digital advertising features through close collaboration with end-to-end architecture and integration stakeholders.
  • Support integration workstreams from discovery through launch, including scope definition, interface and data-flow mapping, dependency tracking, risk identification, milestone coordination, and operational readiness.
  • Assist with onboarding new advertising features, platforms, and partners by documenting technical capabilities, limitations, dependencies, open questions, and risks, and by aligning implementation details to business requirements and user stories.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, QA flows, validation checklists, acceptance criteria, and certification processes for the successful delivery of new advertising features and integrations.
  • Build working knowledge across SSAI, SGAI, CSAI, ad serving and decisioning systems, programmatic integrations, metadata ingestion, measurement, and VOD, linear, and live advertising workflows across web, mobile, and CTV streaming products.
  • Coordinate day-to-day integration activities for assigned workstreams, including organizing technical discussions, capturing decisions, tracking issues and owners, escalating blockers, and communicating status and next steps.
  • Assist with technical troubleshooting by reviewing logs, ad requests and responses, identifiers, metadata, configuration, and observed behavior, and partner with subject-matter experts to isolate failure points and drive resolution.
  • Support launch-readiness reviews, implementation and rollback planning, production validation, stakeholder communications, post-launch monitoring, and handoff to operational teams.
  • Create and maintain integration guides, architecture and process diagrams, decision records, known limitations, runbooks, and reusable technical documentation.
  • Use approved AI-assisted tools to accelerate requirements analysis, technical research, documentation, test-case development, issue triage, and synthesis of technical evidence, while independently validating outputs before they are used for decisions or delivery.
  • Help identify repeatable integration tasks that are candidates for AI-enabled automation, contribute domain knowledge and feedback to improve those workflows, and document where human review, escalation, or subject-matter expertise remains required.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify integrations, improve repeatability, strengthen quality controls, reduce manual effort, and improve operational support.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in digital advertising, media technology, digital video, systems integration, solutions engineering, technical product delivery, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of digital advertising or streaming media workflows, with exposure to one or more areas such as ad serving, ad decisioning, dynamic ad insertion, programmatic advertising, measurement, content distribution, or playback.
  • Experience translating business needs into structured requirements, process flows, technical documentation, test cases, or implementation plans.
  • Experience coordinating work across technical and business stakeholders and maintaining clear ownership, decisions, risks, dependencies, and follow-up actions.
  • Demonstrated technical, quantitative, or analytical skills and the ability to investigate issues methodically and communicate findings clearly.
  • Ability to use AI-assisted productivity tools thoughtfully for research, analysis, drafting, or workflow support, with sound judgment to verify outputs, recognize limitations, and protect sensitive information.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Familiarity with IAB specifications and advertising concepts such as VAST, VMAP, OpenRTB, SCTE-35, SIMID, or related video advertising standards.
  • Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Content Distribution, Technology, or a related field with exposure to ad servers, decisioning platforms, stitchers, players, or measurement systems.
  • Exposure to API-based integrations, JSON or XML, log analysis, request and response troubleshooting, or technical configuration management.
  • Experience supporting web, mobile, CTV, VOD, live, or linear advertising workflows.
  • Experience developing test plans, supporting certification, coordinating release readiness, or validating production launches.
  • Experience using generative AI, copilots, agents, or automation tools to support technical analysis, knowledge management, documentation, testing, or operational workflows.
  • Interest in helping develop and improve AI-ready documentation, reusable knowledge, prompts, evaluation criteria, or workflow instructions for integration use cases.
  • Naturally curious and resourceful; thrives in technical problem-solving, actively seeks answers, and designs practical solutions to complex challenges.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
