Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ presenting concerns, history, and treatment objectives, employing effective questioning techniques that lead to holistic understanding.
• Provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families using a variety of evidence-based modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness strategies, and narrative therapy tailored for hospice clients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique challenges and goals of each client, ensuring that interventions are relevant and impactful.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to monitor their progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and observed outcomes.
• Adhere to strict ethical guidelines and legal requirements, ensuring confidentiality and trust in all client interactions.
• Stay informed through ongoing professional development and training, applying the latest best practices and therapeutic models to client care.
• Build and nurture a strong therapeutic alliance with clients by fostering an environment of trust, empathy, and collaboration.
• Provide valuable support and practical strategies to clients to assist them in coping with life transitions and challenges, especially in the context of end-of-life issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves clients in hospice care, facing complex emotional challenges associated with terminal illness, grief, and the transition of life. We also engage with their families, addressing relational dynamics to foster healthy communication and support systems. Our approach to therapy is deeply rooted in empathy and sensitivity to the unique experiences of our client population, prioritizing their comfort and mental health needs during difficult times.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of experience working in a clinical setting, with a preference for experience in hospice or palliative care.
• Proven clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and the effective implementation of various therapeutic interventions.
• Strong communication abilities that facilitate effective interactions with diverse clients, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with end-of-life issues and supporting clients and families during critical transitions.
• Familiarity with digital health tools and teletherapy platforms to enhance client engagement and accessibility.
• Background in community outreach and resource navigation for clients and families in need of additional support services.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 80,000 – 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
