Job description

KDC is a network of best-in-class custom formulators and manufacturers of color cosmetics, skincare, haircare, bath & body, fragrance, deodorant, home, health, industrial, and auto care products. KDC delivers high-touch innovation, operational excellence, and speed to market to well-known and emerging beauty, personal, and specialty companies from coast to coast. KDC has its head office in Longueuil, Québec. In addition, KDC has 10 operating facilities located throughout North America. Altogether, the company employs nearly 4,800 talented and dedicated employees in North America.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain and recommend improvements to the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g. ISO 22716) and regulations through data analysis, auditing, and continuous improvement activities.
Primary Duties:
  • Write/modify SOP's, maintain control of documents/records, and confirm effectiveness of employee training on quality processes and standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to resolve issues and implement process improvements through RCA, FMEA, CAPA, etc.
  • Track and analyze quality metrics to drive internal process reliability and external supplier performance
  • Other duties as assigned.

Workplace Requirements:
  • Actively practice safety in all aspects of the job.
  • Know and practice proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Know and recognize quality products and practices, and take action when defects are identified.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes respect and teamwork between coworkers, customers, vendors, supervisors, and management.
  • Able to lift 25 - 50lbs consistently.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or related scientific discipline.
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Quality Engineer certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years quality experience required.
Previous leadership experience and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Strong technical writing skills required.
Other Qualifications:
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to internal and external customers.
Possess the ability to establish rapport with direct reports, must have proven ability with positive team building skills, leading by example.
