About the Role

The Security Operations Manager is responsible for leading Digacore's Security team, overseeing security service delivery, and helping clients strengthen their security posture. This role combines people leadership, security operations, client advisory, compliance support, and continuous improvement of our security offerings.

You'll serve as both a technical leader and strategic partner-ensuring security services are delivered effectively, incidents are managed appropriately, team members continue to grow, and clients receive practical guidance that reduces risk and improves security maturity.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Security Analysts through coaching, career development, and performance management
    Manage team priorities, workload distribution, and accountability to ensure high-quality service delivery
    Oversee security alerts, escalations, investigations, and incident response activities
    Serve as the primary escalation point for complex security incidents and high-risk situations
    Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts following security events
    Conduct security assessments and help clients identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve security posture
    Advise clients on cybersecurity best practices, compliance requirements, and security strategy
    Support compliance initiatives including HIPAA, SOC 2, cyber insurance requirements, and related frameworks
    Partner with Account Managers and leadership to identify security improvement opportunities and strategic recommendations
    Own and optimize security platforms including Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Huntress, email security, vulnerability management, and related tools
    Improve security processes, documentation standards, reporting, and operational efficiency
    Help evolve and expand Digacore's security services as client needs and threats continue to change

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of cybersecurity experience in an MSP, MSSP, healthcare, regulated industry, or similar environment
    2+ years of leadership, team lead, or management experience
    Strong understanding of Microsoft security technologies, identity management, endpoint security, and incident response
    Experience conducting risk assessments, security reviews, and compliance-related initiatives
    Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and cyber insurance requirements
    Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making skills
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
    Strong documentation habits and process-oriented mindset
    Ability to balance technical execution, client communication, and team leadership in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security+, CISSP, CISM, SC-200, SC-300, or similar cybersecurity certifications
    Experience leading security programs within an MSP or MSSP environment
    Experience with Microsoft Lighthouse, Sentinel, Defender XDR, or advanced security monitoring platforms
