Production Associate / Packing Operator – Pasta Manufacturing

Location: Pasadena, CA
Position Type: Full-Time, Seasonal with Potential for Direct Hire
Schedule: Rotating Shifts (Must Be Flexible)

Payrate: $18.57 

Available Shifts

  • PM Shift: 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Night Shift: 9:30 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. (as needed)

Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights and Saturdays when required.

About the Opportunity

Join a well-established pasta manufacturing facility in Pasadena! We are looking for dependable, hardworking Production Associates / Packing Operators to support our production and packaging operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and are looking for long-term growth. High-performing employees may be considered for direct hire after the seasonal assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Package finished pasta products according to quality and production standards.
  • Inspect products for quality, appearance, and proper packaging.
  • Operate and monitor production line equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load, stack, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
  • Use pallet jacks to transport materials and finished products (preferred experience).
  • Keep work areas clean and follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist with line changeovers and other production tasks as assigned.
  • Follow company safety policies, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and supervisor instructions.
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, warehouse, or food processing preferred.
  • Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Experience operating a pallet jack is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Must have full availability for rotating shifts, including nights and Saturdays as needed.
  • Candidates with valid work authorization and documentation are preferred, as there may be opportunities for direct hire based on performance.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift (8+ hours).
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements throughout the shift.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, twist, and squat.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production quotas.
  • Comfortable working around moving machinery and production equipment while following all safety procedures.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures common in food manufacturing facilities.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), gloves, safety glasses, and other protective equipment as required.
  • Must maintain good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail when inspecting and packaging products.
  • Must be able to work overtime, rotating shifts, nights, and Saturdays as required by production needs.
