Job description

Job Title

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ordering, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses; maintain accurate inventory records
  • Track inbound and outbound shipments, verifying packaging and accompanying documents
  • Laise with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Prepare and process purchase orders
  • Conduct and coordinate regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits
  • Address and resolve issues related to damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of warehouses or storage areas
  • Maintain knowledge of the material and tools used for project
  • Coordinate and direct the work of any Inventory Specialists onsite
  • Recommend and create any process improvements for streamlining the inventory processes
  • Safety training as required by position
  • Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Understanding of materials used in construction or specific project
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Travel required

Preferred Skills:

  • Construction industry experience
  • Prior inventory or material management experience
