Job Description
Reporting to the Dean of Nursing and the Prelicensure NursingProgram Director, Adjunct Clinical Faculty play a vital role in theeducation of our students. This individual is responsible for theclinical education of Pre-licensure BSN and/or Pre-licensure MSNnursing students. Adjunct Clinical Faculty are responsible forevaluating the clinical experience of the students and grading ofall clinical assignments. The adjunct clinical faculty will workclosely with the course lead to ensure that the clinical learningobjectives are met.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clinical instruction of the assigned group(s) of students inthe clinical sites and the Simulation Center.
  • Attends hospital orientation before the start ofclinical.
  • Orient students to the clinical unit.
  • Select appropriate learning experiences for the assignedstudent group(s), i.e., client/patient assignments and planningclinical conferences, pre- and post-conferences.
  • Instruct, observe, assess, guide, and remediate students'performance.
  • Evaluate students’ clinical performance weekly and provideverbal and written feedback, as needed, on an individualbasis.
  • Maintain effective, ongoing communication with the courseinstructor concerning student progress and/or concerns.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Active New Jersey RN License
  • Current Certification in CPR
  • Experience teaching at the baccalaureate and master'slevels
Preferred:
  • Certification in area of specialization
  • Simulation experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent/relevant clinicalexperience.

Salary Range
$2,100.00-$2,333.33 Per Credit
