Job Description:

We're on the lookout for a talented and innovative Production Designer to join our team at Monarch Sign & Graphics. As a Production Designer, you'll be an essential part of our creative team, responsible for transforming client concepts into visually stunning signage, including indoor and outdoor signs, banners, vehicle wraps, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with clients and our sales team to comprehend project objectives and design requirements.
  • Conceptualize and produce captivating and purposeful sign designs that align with client preferences and branding guidelines.
  • Utilize design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create high-quality digital artwork and layouts.
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of design files with production and manufacturing standards, preparing them for the production phase.
  • Work closely with our production team, providing clear design instructions and guidance throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Assist in selecting appropriate materials, colors, and finishes to achieve the desired aesthetics of the signage.
  • Operate production equipment, including:
    • Wide Format Printers.
    • Laminators.
    • Vinyl Plotters.
    • Routers.
    • Lasers.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, design innovations, and emerging technologies to continually enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas to our team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Strong grasp of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Knowledge of vinyl production equipment, including:
    • Wide Format Printers.
    • Laminators.
    • Vinyl Plotters.
    • Routers.
    • Lasers.
  • Prior experience in the signage industry is required.
  • A portfolio showcasing your design expertise and creative flair.
