Job description

MISTRAS Group | Houma, LA | Full-Time
MISTRAS Group is seeking an experienced NDT RT Technician to perform radiographic inspections and evaluate Weld Quality in accordance with applicable codes, customer specifications, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have industrial radiography experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to interpret radiographic images and assess weld integrity.
Responsibilities
  • Perform Radiographic Testing (RT) inspections on welded components and industrial assets
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate RT equipment
  • Interpret radiographic images and evaluate weld quality
  • Identify weld discontinuities such as porosity, slag inclusions, lack of fusion, incomplete penetration, and cracks
  • Verify compliance with ASME, AWS, API, and customer requirements
  • Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation
  • Follow radiation safety and company safety procedures
  • Support outage, maintenance, fabrication, and inspection projects
  • Work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel assignments as needed

Qualifications
  • Industrial radiography experience required
  • Level II RT certification required
  • Must have valid State Card
  • State Radiographer Card and/or IRRSP certification preferred
  • Experience evaluating weld quality and interpreting RT results
  • Knowledge of applicable welding and inspection codes
  • Ability to read technical drawings, procedures, and specifications
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Must have Valid driver's license
  • Must have TWIC Card
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass DISA background and drug/alcohol screening

Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional certifications: UT, MT, PT, VT & Offshore Safety Training
  • Experience in refinery, fabrication, manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial environments
  • Experience with CR/DR systems
