Mindsight Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time role will allow you to provide essential mental health services to individuals and families in a remote setting, working through telehealth platforms. As a mental health professional, you will conduct assessments, create tailored treatment strategies, and facilitate therapeutic interventions, all geared towards improving client well-being and resilience.

About the Organization

Mindsight Behavioral Health Center is a forward-thinking organization committed to enhancing mental health and overall well-being in our community. Based in Chandler, Arizona, we embrace innovative approaches to mental health care, offering a collaborative environment for our counselors and staff. We prioritize client-centered therapy, enabling our clients to lead fulfilling lives while navigating their mental health challenges.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of working remotely, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own home. Utilizing telehealth technology, you will engage with clients via video conferencing, text, and other digital communication methods. Our telehealth facility ensures that all counselors are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to deliver high-quality care while maintaining secure patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations to assess client needs and treatment goals.
  • Create personalized treatment plans based on clients’ assessments, factoring in their individual circumstances and mental health needs.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Regularly monitor and document clients’ progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to promote effective recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to develop cohesive intervention plans for complex cases.
  • Follow up with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for any clients requiring more intensive outpatient or inpatient care.
  • Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to help clients overcome these challenges.
  • Provide support to patients' family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with the tools to understand and manage mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals struggling with various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. The emphasis on telehealth enables you to reach clients across different demographics and geographical locations, ensuring accessibility for those who may have barriers in attending traditional in-person sessions.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
  • A passing score on the National Counseling Exam (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, necessary for effective client interaction and documentation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering rapport and empathy with a diverse client base.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience providing mental health counseling, with a focus on telehealth modalities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for efficient documentation and management of patient information.
  • A background in dealing with co-occurring physical health conditions alongside mental health disorders.
  • Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards and best practices.
  • Understanding medication effects and changes as guided by medical professionals, contributing to integrated care approaches.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting your skills and experience in mental health care.
