Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Mindful Support Wellness, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for couples and families, identifying issues such as conflicts, grief, trauma, and communication difficulties.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions to address personal challenges in conjunction with family therapy, ensuring a holistic approach to healing.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the needs of diverse client populations, including adults, children, and adolescents.
  • Develop treatment plans that incorporate client goals and objectives, continuously evaluating progress and adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure a unified approach to treatment and patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation following agency policies, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on families facing a wide range of challenges, including but not limited to:

  • Alcohol and substance abuse issues
  • Effects of psychological and physical abuse
  • Grief and loss
  • Family conflicts including stepfamily dynamics and sibling rivalries
  • Adjustment issues related to separation or divorce
  • General life stressors and job-related pressures
  • Communication barriers within family units
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Strong commitment to enhancing patient care and achieving clinical excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work empathetically with diverse populations.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be favored:

  • Demonstrated experience working with various age groups, particularly children and adolescents.
  • Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms for virtual sessions.
  • Experience with community health clinics or similar healthcare settings.
