Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized treatment plans that address the specific psychological needs of each client.
• Provide therapeutic interventions through various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care, sharing insights and strategies that enhance client support.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and respect for client privacy.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to remain informed about best practices and recent research in mental health.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years' experience working as a counselor in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the legal and ethical standards governing counseling practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable positive rapport-building with diverse clients.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
