Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective interventions.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
  • Monitor client progress through regular assessments and modify treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Coordinate care with other medical professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure an integrated approach to treatment.
  • Stay current with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic approaches.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
  • Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

The role primarily focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Qualifications
  • Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
