Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental and emotional well-being including diagnostic evaluations, utilizing a methodology centered on engagement, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans that align with clients' unique needs, objectives, and therapeutic goals.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions addressing a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and family dynamics.
  • Facilitate couples therapy sessions to enhance communication skills, resolve conflicts, and support relationship strengthening.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust treatment approaches based on client progress and evolving needs, ensuring an adaptive treatment journey.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and case histories, complying with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, as well as external healthcare professionals, to deliver holistic care for clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients in acute distress, ensuring safety and well-being.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying abreast of current research and trends in marriage and family therapy.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards while advocating for client rights and fostering a therapeutic environment of empowerment and support.
Client Population / Client Focus

Your work will impact a diverse client population, including individuals and families from various backgrounds and cultures. You'll engage with clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. Your ability to connect with clients of all ages—from children to adults—will be essential in delivering tailored therapeutic support.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related discipline.
  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of New Jersey is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in providing individual and couples therapy; proficiency in relevant therapeutic approaches is highly valued.
  • A strong background in working with children and adults, capable of understanding their distinct mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, particularly concerning the timely completion of assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in community health settings or clinics.
  • Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
  • Familiarity with teletherapy methods and technology.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
